Cookie Policy (Tech Generation Brands)

Effective date: 19 January 2026

Last updated: 19 January 2026

This Cookie Policy applies to the websites and services operated by Tech Generation Ltd, including Tech Generation, Pressific, Fusion Bear, Clougency, and Biznific, wherever this policy is linked.

Cookies and similar technologies are regulated in the UK under PECR, and consent is required for most non-essential cookies (including analytics and marketing).

1) What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites. Similar technologies include pixels, local storage, SDKs, and scripts that store or access information on your device.

Some cookies are essential for the site to work. Others help us analyse usage or support marketing and affiliate tracking — those are typically non-essential and require consent.

2) How we use cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

  • Essential functionality and security (e.g., keeping sessions working, protecting forms, bot protection)
  • Analytics (understanding what’s working and improving performance)
  • Marketing measurement and advertising (Meta/Facebook Pixel)
  • Affiliate tracking (so we can attribute a referral if you click an affiliate link)

Under UK rules, analytics and marketing cookies aren’t considered “strictly necessary”, so they require consent.

3) Your choices (consent and controlling cookies)

  • Where required, we use a cookie banner/controls to let you accept or reject non-essential cookies.
  • You can change your choice any time by using the cookie controls on our site (where available).
  • You can also manage cookies via your browser settings (block all cookies, clear cookies, or block third-party cookies). Note: blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working properly.

4) Cookie categories we use

A) Strictly necessary cookies

These are needed for the website and services to function, and for security. They don’t require consent under PECR where they are genuinely essential.

Examples you may see:

  • Cloudflare security / bot protection cookies such as __cf_bm (used for bot management protections).  (Other essential cookies may be set by the site to keep sessions working, remember basic settings, and protect forms.)

B) Analytics / performance cookies

These help us understand how visitors use our sites so we can improve them. These typically require consent.

Examples:

  • Google Analytics cookies such as _ga (used to distinguish visitors).

C) Marketing cookies (Meta/Facebook Pixel)

We use Meta Pixel across our brand sites to measure advertising performance, understand conversions, build audiences, and improve ad relevance. These cookies/pixel identifiers typically require consent.

Examples:

  • Meta Pixel identifiers/cookie values such as _fbp and _fbc (used in Meta’s marketing/measurement tooling).

D) Affiliate tracking cookies (Amazon + Impact)

Some blog posts and pages contain affiliate links. If you click an affiliate link, tracking may be used to attribute the referral. This is usually treated as non-essential and should be controlled via consent choices. (The exact behaviour depends on the affiliate platform and browser settings.)

Impact (impact.com):

  • Impact explains it uses cookies for attribution and reporting across a visitor journey.

Amazon Associates:

  • Amazon states there’s a 24-hour referral window after a customer arrives via an Associates link (and it can reset if they return via another Associates link).

5) Third-party content and embeds

Some pages may include third-party embedded content (for example video platforms). These third parties may set cookies or access device information when the embed loads or when you interact with it. Where appropriate, we aim to load non-essential embeds in a consent-aware way.

6) Cookie lists can change

Cookie names and providers can change as we update the website, add new features, or switch tooling. This policy describes the types of cookies we use and gives examples. We’ll update this document when changes are material.
